LCM students can make a difference internationally. Mrs. Moreau is heading up the India Roof Project. Our students are encouraged to recycle plastic bottles (any size) at lunch and recess. The recycle container is located near the lunch tables. To date, our students have raised $100. The goal is $500 to build one hut. Carrillo Elementary started their school garden 13 years ago as a dedication to the families of September 11th. They have applied for a grant with Seeds of Change for their school garden to help rebuild their initial vision. The winning garden wins $10,000 - $20,000. Our amazing Daddy Daughter Dance is quickly approaching. It will be held in the LCM cafeteria on Friday, April 25th. Buy your dance tickets before April 23rd to avoid price increase. LCM PTO has partnered with the San Diego Padres to offer our families Padre tickets at a group rate. Enjoy of fun night of baseball with other LCM families. The Padres will face the Arizona Diamondbacks at 5:40pm on Saturday, May 3rd. It is also "Beach Blanket" give away night, and tickets are only $15. Great seats in left field, reserved section. Inspired by last year's Student Council to give back to those in need, LCM will be running a Recycle Shoe Drive Campaign all year long. Clean out those closets and bag up any and all unwanted shoes. La Costa Meadows is very fortunate to have the funds and donations from Wave Fund supporters, Eldorado Stone, KRC Rock, Heaviland Landscape Management, Lowe's and Home Depot. Each of these generous companies were happy to help our students in the re-modelling of our Science Garden. The kids love learning and coming to the Science Garden.
